About Us
Akkash Comprehensive Skin Clinic was founded by Laith “M.K” Akkash, M.D; who started the practice with the philosophy that every patient deserves to receive the best medical services.
The idea of a comprehensive dermatological practice, evolved while Dr. Akkash was undergoing his dermatological residency and skin surgical training in Germany. After returning to Jordan in 2007, he relentlessly tried to fulfill the dream of establishing scientifically based comprehensive dermatological services. The dream has now come true, with the founding of the Akkash Comprehensive Skin Clinic; a concept that might be new to both Jordan and the Middle East,a concept that is based on providing our patients with high end medical and surgical dermatological therapeutics.In addition to various cosmetic procedures that are performed based on medical and scientific standards rather than the abundant commercially based practices.
Today, we at Akkash Clinic provide standard medical treatments of all treatable dermatological illnesses only to mention few examples: Eczema, acne vulgaris, vitiligo and bullous diseases, Skin infections, premalignant & malignant skin conditions, in addition to psoriasis , it’s noteworthy to mention here that Dr. Akkash is one of the experts in the Middle East North Africa (MENA)region for psoriasis.
The full range of surgical dermatology is provided under the latest techniques of local and tumescent anesthesia as office based procedures, eliminating the risk of general anesthesia and the need for longer hospitalization time. All types of skin tumors, cysts, naevi, surgical treatment of scars, and surgical treatment of acne inversa are performed at our clinic. In addition to the different cosmetic and aesthetic surgical procedures, such as but not limited to; liposuction, reductive procedures, face lifts, and state of the art hair transplantation procedures.
As Dr.Akkash is also Board Certified in skin allergeology, our clinics services also include testing and diagnosis of the various types of skin allergies, in addition to the hypo and desensitization procedures that are carried out at on inpatient basis. Our state of the art laser center provides our patients with aesthetic and therapeutic laser treatments. Including; treatment of scars, treatment of skin burns, skin rejuvenation, treatment of varicose veins, and various blood spots, treatment of hyper-pigmented areas like freckles, age spots, and lentigenes. Also surgical lasers for lipolysis and ablation of varicose veins are offered. Of course the increasingly available Laser hair removal is available at a totally different level in regards to both the machinery and the evaluation of patients by a consultant dermatologist certified by the American Board of Laser Surgery. Our laser center also boasts the novel Laser gynecological treatments for vaginal tightening and for urinary stress incontinence that are carried out by a consultant gynecologist.
Last but not least, the increasingly popular cosmetic and aesthetic procedures are not limited in our clinic to the traditional injections of botulinum toxins and fillers; rather they start from objective evaluation of patients’ needs both clinically and using the latest 3D analysis system available worldwide. Our cosmetic procedures encompass an extremely wide range of both minimally invasive and non-invasive machine based procedures reaching up to up to the 3-D body contouring. All under the latest state of the art techniques and standards.
